Workflow Mailer Sends Out A Cancelled Notification For Purchasing Approval Workflows (Doc ID 1577626.1)

Goal

When a user approves a Requisition (Req) from the Approval reminder notification, the Req is approved but the first Notification for the Req approval gets cancelled due to a timeout,  The mailer then sends a notification to the user that the notification is cancelled which is very confusing for the user.

Even though the workflow 'SEND_CANCELED_EMAIL' parameter is set to 'N' (no) the mailer stills sends out the cancel notification.

How can the cancel notification be stopped?
