WIP Component Pick Release or OPM Batch Picking Fail, Even Though Picking Rules Have Been Set Up (Doc ID 1586536.1)

Symptoms

The problem described can occur when running Component Pick Release in the WIP product, when doing Picking in an OPM Batch, and when trying to do picking for a sales order. There may be other scenarios in which the problem occurs also.

Picking Rules have been set up, and they have been enabled on the Rules Workbench (which is accessed from the Assignment button on the Inventory Picking Rules form). Despite this, when initiating picking, a message such as the following is displayed:

None of the material requirements for the selected components could be allocated
