Web ADI creates 2 Home Pages When Launched From Oracle Forms Navigator (Doc ID 1592313.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 03, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Web Applications Desktop Integrator - Version 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.3 [Release 11.5 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When running Web ADI from the Forms PUI we end up with 2 Personal Home Pages in 2 separate browsers.

There are no issues when running Web ADI from OAF Self Service Web Application.

Steps to Reproduce:

After logging in from IE Window #1, from the Personal Home Page/PHP1 open a forms based function - such as: Profile > System.
Then using the Responsibility Picker (aka unethical hacking), select the Desktop Integration responsibility.
Selected Create Document
This opens a new IE window #2.
From here, create a new spreadsheet for Daily Rates (or any other Integrator)....
From the File Download popup,  Open the Excel spreadsheet for Daily Rates.
Then, back on the IE window #2, click the 'Return' button.
Instead of returning this page back to the Desktop Integration responsibility, this page is returned to a new PHP2.
Now there are 2 IE PHP windows - the original PHP1 and the new PHP2 in 2 different IE browsers.

Changes

Creating a new Web ADI Integrator from the Forms Personal Users Interface/PUI.
