Last updated on NOVEMBER 21, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Enterprise Asset Management - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Securing attributes functionality is not functioning in EAM Oaf Maintenance responsibility. After defining securing attributes on Responsibility level and on user level, using seeding securing attributes like Department Code, Department_id, if log in to application as a user, using secured responsibility, user is able to see all records (for all departments)

STEPS
-----------------------
1. Create custom responsibility 'EP Maintenance Super User'
System administrator > security > responsibility
Menu= Self Service Maintenance Home
Securing Attributes TAB > populate Department Code (Application=Enterprise Asset management) > value='F-Maint'

2. Create new user
user=EP_USER_PREF
pass=EP_USER_PREF

Attach responsibility 'EP Maintenance Super User' to user=EP_USER_PREF

3. Login with user=EP_USER_PREF, Work Orders > query will show WOs for any department and also Asset number with all owning Departments (whereas it would be expected to se only the ones related to department code=F-Main)
