Status Not Set to PLANNING - PLANNED_FAILED When Planning Failed using "Direct" Action

Symptoms
When an Order Release is attempted to be planned via the "Direct" action and fails (expectedly), the Status of the Order Release does not get updated to PLANNING_PLANNED - FAILED. Instead it remains in its previous status (e.g. PLANNING_NEW).
However, if the Bulk Plan action is used and the planning fails, the status is correctly updated.
