Configure Results In GTM Item Screen Set Is Giving Null Pointer Exception (Doc ID 1604936.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to configure Results in custom GTM item screen set, the following error occurs. When you use the configure results icon on the GTM Item Screen Set Results Page you are able to remove a results column. When you try to add the column back you are getting a null pointer exception.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Create a custom GTM_ITEM screen set-> Navigate to this screen set -> click search -> From the search results page -> click the "configure" icon -> Remove TEMPLATE item, then try to add it back.
