update_password.sh Script Throwing Error "The Network Adapter could not establish the connection" on RAC Environment (Doc ID 1610951.1)

Symptoms

After moving to a Real Application Cluster(RAC) environment for the databases, when running /glog/oracle/scripts8/update_password.sh to change password the following error is seen
