Purpose

 This document describes best practices for configuring your E-Business Suite Concurrent Program “log” and “out” directories on shared storage, in a way that avoids severe system performance issues.

Scope

 This paper discusses Concurrent Manager log and out directory management in Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1.3 and R12.2.  It has been updated to reflect significant enhancements to how the log and out files can be distributed across multiple directories, to avoid performance issues resulting from too many files in one directory.
