Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Build Shipment does not honor the Volume criteria (from the Packaging Reference Unit) on the Repack and ends putting more on the pallet than the pallet can hold.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------

Build Shipment should honor the Volume criteria on the Repack and ends putting more on the pallet than it can hold.

1. Create a Packaging Reference Unit ID (e.g. "Volume") under Order Management > Power Data > General > Packaging Reference Unit
2. Search for the 2 order releases with 2 different items with different values for the Volumen and Package Reference Units - that add up to more than what a pallet can hold.
3. Run the bulk plan and notice that the both the items are packed on to one Ship Unit violating the limit of the pallet set in the Packaging Reference Unit set up
