New Item Status History Record Is Inserted When Changing Item Description, Catalog Group (Doc ID 1640781.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, Inventory Transactions

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

A change to item description, catalog group, descriptive element values or item description, will add a new item status history record.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Only changes to item status will add records in the item status history.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigator: Inventory/Items/Master Items
2. Select an item with the status – Active
3. Select the Pending Status menu item from Tools menu
4. Change of the following: item description, catalog group, descriptive elements values and then click the ‘Update Description’ button in Item Catalog form.

5. These will all insert records into item status history.
