Duplicate Notifications while Working with Vacation Rules and Approval Management (Doc ID 1641495.1)

Symptoms

On R12.1.3:

Duplicate notifications appear when working with Vacation rules & AME.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Set up Vacation rules for BBB
    • All Item Type, All notifications reassigned to AAA with Transfer Notification Ownership
  2. AME:  Transaction type = Oracle Self Service Human Resources, Rule name = SSHR Rule for at most 10 approvers in Supervisor chain


Approval cycle:

1/ XXX creates an SIT.
In the Review Page, see the following list of approvers (All HR People approver type and Approver Category):
  1. AAA
  2. BBB
  3. CCC
  4. DDD
  5. EEE
2/ Submit the absence to approval
3/ AAA receives a first notification and approves
4/ AAA receives a second notification (Transfer from BBB as per the vacation rules). AAA approves again
5/ AAA receives a third notification ((Transfer from BBB). AAA approves again
6/ CCC receives a notification
