Symptoms
An unreleased commitment or 'hanging' commitment balance found in Award Status Inquiry (ASI) and Project Status Inquiry (PSI) can be fixed using a Generic Datafix (GDF) through Grants Accounting. This Generic Datafix (GDF) would correct the GMS table data for the Purchase orders,requisition,cancelled requisitions and payable invoices wherein PO/REQ/AP has been finally closed or interfaced to the Grants successfully but still the respective commitment amount has not been released from the Grants table and it continues to shows as active encumbrance amount for the respective Award/project.
This GDF take cares only about the Grants related table ,once customer done with the Grants GDF,a PO bug needs to be logged to get the similar kind of data fix to correct the PO related tables and it's data.
