User Defined Attributes (UDA) In Order Management (Doc ID 1671828.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 24, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Order Management - Version 12.2.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Qn1:We are planning to use User Defined Attributes (UDA) in the Order Entry (using Quick Sales Orders) for fulfilling one of our major business requirements. Since it is a new feature in Oracle we had a few queries and concerns:

1. When we create a UDA page, where does the page get stored. It is an XML page or a physical location ?
2. Right now we are in 12.2.3 and we will update in the near future. Want to make sure what happens to the previously entered records once we upgrade ?
3. Do the UDA values used for a particular order flow through to AR once the order has been shipped and eventually closed?
Is it possible if you can please provide additional documentation for the existing functionality/features of the user defined attributes in Order Management since there is not a lot to go with in the Implementation and User Guide?

Qn2:Is there an API for UDA's in Order Management?
If yes, then can you please provide me the details?
