US Deposit Advice XML Errors With 'java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError' After R12.2 Upgrade (Doc ID 1671928.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to execute the Deposit Advice (XML) process after upgrading to R12.2.3, the following error occurs.

ERROR

Exception in static block of jtf.cache.CacheManager. Stack trace is: java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError
at oracle.apps.jtf.base.resources.Architecture.createWebAppsContext(Unknown Source)
at oracle.apps.jtf.base.resources.Architecture.createAppsContext(Unknown Source)
at oracle.apps.jtf.base.resources.Architecture.createAppsContext(Unknown Source)
at oracle.apps.jtf.cache.ArchitectureWrapper.createAppsContext(Unknown Source)

The same error can be seen when running Check Writer (XML) or Third Party Check Writer (XML)


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1) Upgrade to R12.2.3 or higher

2) From US HRMS Manager or equivalent responsibility, run either:

     Deposit Advice (XML)
     Check Writer (XML
     Third Party Check Writer (XML)

Navigate: Processes and Reports > Submit Processes and Reports > Single Request

Changes

 Instance upgraded from to R12.2.3 or higher
