There are several operating units in your instance, say OU1 and OU2
You run the 'EXC: Transaction Exception Details by GL Period'
You select 'Yes' value for the parameter 'Show Transaction Exceptions Across Operating Unit'
You run the report for the operating Unit OU1
You review the report output: It shows exceptions related to the operating units OU1
You run the report for the operating Unit OU2
You review the report output: Exceptions related to the operating unit OU1 are not displayed
