How to bypass the error "This Patch seems to have been applied already. Would you like to continue anyway" when applying a patch via ADOP ? (Doc ID 1920187.1)

During ADOP patch fails with the following error:

The adop automatically puts 'N' as the answer for the prompt and the patch exists.
The restart and abandon options does not work in this situation.
