How to Switch Email Center Account Type form External to Internal or Internal to External

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Email Center Accounts can be created of type Internal or External.
External accounts are defined to receive emails from external parties such as customers, partners, resellers, and so on.
Internal accounts are set up to receive emails from internal employees.
Is it possible to change Account Types from External to Internal when an Account has been created of the incorrect type?
