adadmin Failed With AD Administration Error: Unable To Close Log File (Doc ID 1927202.1)

Symptoms

Adadmin tools failed with error:

AD Administration error: Unable to close log file

The adadmin.log shows the following:

Creating the AD_UTIL_PARAMS table...
Table AD_UTIL_PARAMS already exists, so dropping the table and recreating it.
Unable to flush log file
Unable to flush log file

Creating FND_INSTALL_PROCESSES table...

AD Administration error: Unable to close log file
<DIRECTORY>/apps/apps_st/appl/admin/<HOSTNAME>/log/adadmin.log
AD Administration error:
aijmtabAddTaskTimingColumns: Error running adtasktim.sql, error code (135614209)
