12.2 E-Business Suite JSP Page Handling, File Locations, Manual Compilation, And The Allowed JSP Features (Doc ID 1928874.1)

Last updated on MAY 10, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle E-Business Suite Technology Stack - Version 12.2 to 12.2 [Release 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

Similar to previous releases of the E-Business Suite, Release 12.2 also uses JSP pages to render the Self Service applications.  In normal situations, the JSP pages do not require manual intervention.  When a patch delivers a new version of a JSP page this is automatically pre-compiled, so a cached version is available on run-time.

For troubleshooting purposes and deployment of custom JSP pages, it's useful to have an insight on the location for the (cached) JSP pages and how these can be manually pre-compiled when required.  Also a comparison is made with Release 12.1 to highlight the differences with Release 12.2
