Symptoms
Since the introduction of patch 14732514 or 12.1 HRMS RUP6, find that when an Absence is entered with a different Absence Type, the expected error message "This person cannot no be enrolled as they have one or more overlapping absences" is no longer produced in either the Participation Process: Absence log files or when enrolling absences via the Absence form.
Due to this code change, there is now a mandatory set-up required to allow overlapping absences of different categories.
Expected that if the business do not allow absence overlaps of any kind, then they should not be required to implement this new set-up.
