Last updated on FEBRUARY 02, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Item Master - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, Item Issues

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Items Descriptive Flexfield (DFF) attributes (attribute1 through attribute30) that are updated in mtl_system_items_b using the Import Items process do not present in the Items DFF form even though they exist in the data base.

HOWEVER, if the customer updates the Items DFF from the Master Items Form, ONCE, the updates present to the form and all subsequent updates to that items Items DFF ( via the Import Items process ) present to the form, as well.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Expect that all populated DFF attributes in the mtl_system_items_b table will present appropriately in the Items Descriptive Flexfield on the Master Items Form.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Using Import items, populate specific (attribute1 through attribute30) DFF attributes in mtl_system_items_interface and process changes
2. Attributes are updated in the mtl_system_items_b table
3. However, Attributes do not present in the DFF of the Master Items form.

Changes

Customer upgraded from 11i.  Issue presents for historical (upgraded) items, but not new items.
