GLLEZL Is it Possible to Import Descriptive Flexfield Values (DFF) from The Subledger? (Doc ID 1941442.1)

Last updated on JUNE 01, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.3 [Release 11.5.10 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
FORM: GLXJEENT.FMB - Journal Entry
Executable:GLLEZL - Journal Import

Goal

You setup a Descriptive Flexfield (DFF) for Application "General Ledger" and Title "Enter Journal Lines".
The DFF was setup as context dependent.
Notice that for a journal imported from subledger the descriptive flexfield is not visible and does not open.
The DFF is showing as expected for journals entered manually in General Ledger.
The CONTEXT field in the GL_JE_LINES table is not populated for imported journals from subledger. It has a value only for journals entered manually in GL.
Would like the “Enter journal line” DFF to show up for imported journals as it is showing for manual journals.
