Error in Preview Contract Terms: The value of either leader-length or rule-thickness property is too large (Doc ID 1952194.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to view an agreement with structured contract terms, a PDF generation error occur. This occurs when the combined size of the a tab position and hanging indent is too large. The clause is imported from a MS Word 2003 XML file.

oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: oracle.apps.xdo.XDOException: The value of either leader-length or rule-thickness property is too large

Expected Behavior
The document should be generated without errors

Steps
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps.
1. Create a MS Word Clause file using both a hanging indent and a tab position. Save the file as 2003 XML format.
2. Login to Oracle
Responsibility: PO Super user
Navigation: Buyer Work Center > Agreements
3. Create an agreement and add Contract Terms
4. Apply a Contract Template
5. Update a clause and click on the Make Non-Standard button
6. Import the clause XML file
7. Click on the Preview button which results in an error page:
You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact the System Administrator for assistance. Click here for exception details
8. Click on the exception details:
    oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: oracle.apps.xdo.XDOException: The value of either leader-length or rule-thickness property is too large
9. Login back into the application and select View PDF for the agreement. No PDF generated and get this error:
    System failed to generate the PDF document. Please contact your system administrator
10. In MS Word, open the clause XML file and reduce the hanging indent
11. Import clause xml file
12. Click on Preview and the PDF is generated without error. It is noted that the tab position is not properly displayed.
