Last updated on JULY 18, 2023

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Executable:GLLEZL - Journal Import

Symptoms

Case1:
When uploading a WebADI Journal, if the Code Combination id (CCID) is invalid on one row, then it is not uploaded, but all the valid rows are uploaded.
The invalid rows have a red sad face, but the valid rows have the green smilie face missing.
When the invalid row is corrected and the journal uploaded again, it uploaded all rows which results in the valid rows being duplicated and causes an unbalanced journal to be created.

Case2:

Create a journal template with 4 journal lines.
Of the 4 lines 3 are correct but 1 has an issue that creates an error that should stop upload of the journal data.
The upload is run and the erroring line fails validation - import shows no rows upload, 1 rows invalid.
Checking the gl_interface shows the 3 lines that passed validation did in fact get uploaded though the message indicates they have not.
After correcting the one invalid line, re-upload and all 4 lines get uploaded again.

The original upload of 3 lines should not have occurred as it causes duplication.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. upload an webadi journal that has an invalid CCID
2. correct the invalid CCID on the row with the red sad face
3. upload the journal again.
