Symptoms
On Oracle Applications 12.2.4 version, Basic SysAdmin functions, maintenance:
when a username is longer than 30 characters and that user logs in and choose to use Display Preferences (For example Delivery manager) in Home Page following error occurs:
ORA-06512: at "APPS.FND_VAULT", line 904
ORA-06512: at "APPS.FND_VAULT", line 715
ORA-06512: at "APPS.FND_DELIVERY", line 343
ORA-06512: at line 1
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to instance and use Preference==Display Preference and Set some attribute for example "Known as".
2. Click on apply.
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot set their respective Display Preferences.
