Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.3.4 to 6.3.7 [Release 6.3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When Re-Sequencing Shipment Stops, OTM assigns a Stop Type of "PD" to the Shipments

The below example illustrates the issue as it occurs within 3 Steps

Step 1: ---> Select 3 orders "A, B and C" then Run a Bulk Plan for these 3 Orders - a 5 stop Shipment called XXXXXX is created for these 3 Orders, with Pickup and Drop-Off activities listed as "P" and "D" as listed below

Stop 1. P activity at A
Stop 2. P activity at B
Stop 3. D activity at B
Stop 4. D activity at C
Stop 5. D activity at A

Step 2: ----> Proceed to Open the Shipment XXXXXX then click on the Stops TAB then Click on the Actions Button>Shipment Management>Change Shipment Stops>Resequence Stops

Step 3: ----> Complete the Resequence Stops action by moving stop 4 to stop 2, resulting in the below 4 stops

Stop 1. P   activity at A
Stop 2. PD activity at C
Stop 3. D   activity at B
Stop 4. D   activity at A

The Problem in this scenario is the Stop Type "PD" that is seen with stop 2.

Seeking a sure shot way in OTM to prevent the creation of "PD" stop type when the resequence stops process is completed
