Goal

The Unit of measure attribute control is at Organization Level, you want to change it to Item Master Level.

Objective is to control the unit of measure at the master level. Do not want other organizations to change UOM specific to their region. An Item should have the same unit of measure in all orgs in which it is assigned.

Since there are transactions existing for the item, you cannot delete the item, but you can inactivate the item. The question is after inactivating the item,  can you change the item attribute control from org level to Master org?

When trying to change the Primary Unit Of Measure from Org Level to Master Level you may see this error:

Is it possible to inactivate the item and change the attribute control to master level?
