Error: "A Connection to the Server could not be Established: Null" When Attemping to Login to OTM After JDK Upgrade to 7 (Doc ID 2007802.1)

Symptoms

When upgrading JDK to version 7, the following error appears in the weblogic log and connections are not allowed.


on the login page the error is: A connection to the server could not be established: null (user=<username>)

 

With JDK 6, the application continues to respond correctly.
