Sales Order Stuck In Fulfilled Status (Doc ID 2008332.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, Finance & Accounting

Around 80,000 Sales order stuck in Fulfilled Status

Customer did a mass booking of sales order as a part of the year end closing and found out that around 80000 sales order went in to Fulfilled status and when checked the workflow status it is in Invoice Interface Deferred.

Orders are Line Flow - Generic, Bill Only with Inventory Interface

Line 2.1 Invoice Interface - Line, Deferred

Inventory Interface had an error and after it was fixed the lines were processing slowly.

Error:
There is no subinventory specified on the line. If the item is under revision/lot/locator control, please use the reservation form to reserve it first. If the item is not under revision/lot/locator control, please enter the subinventory on the line.



STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Responsibility: Order Management Super User
2. Navigate: Orders Workbench, Order Organizer > enter orders > Book
3. Notice some orders do not progress

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot complete year end activities due to stuck orders.
