R12: Impact of Enabling 'Enhanced Period Processing' Profile Option on the Exchange Rate Used (Doc ID 2010263.1)

Symptoms

Daily exchange rates are not being picked up for revenue and billing when Enhanced Period Processing profile option is disabled.  The following error is received. 

The issue occurs when the exchange rates are not setup through the end of the period. 

 

ERROR
  No exchange rate exists for project functional currency

 - Exchange rates are NOT setup through the end of the period

 - Define Exchange Rates until the end of the month and the error does not happen
