R12: Automatic Posting Fails to Post Journals - No Batches Were Selected for Posting (Doc ID 2010480.1)

Symptoms

After submitting Automatic Posting in the General Ledger for Secondary ledger , the request ends with the following message in the output:

"No batches were selected for posting for this priority."

Checking the journals , they show Error status 'Error31 - Unopened secondary ledger period'.

The corresponding period is already Open for the Secondary ledger.
Tested and journals can be manually posted successfully.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log into General Ledger
2. Navigate to Journals > Enter
3. Query for the batch
4. Select Post
5. Posting ends with above error.
