Transaction Code "IU" Used in GenericStatusUpdate XML to Update Reference Number on Existing Reference Number Qualifier ID Line on Shipment, Creates a New Line Rather than Update Existing Line (Doc ID 2032800.1)

Symptoms

PROBLEM:
---------------

A Shipment Reference Number Qualifier "BM" has been set up to "Allow Updates (One, Update). Each time a GenericStatusUpdate XML is uploaded to change the system generated BM Reference Number with a new Reference Number, a new Qualifier line is created with the new Reference Number so there are now two Reference Numbers on the Shipment.  The expectation is that the existing Shipment Qualifier line of "BM" should get updated rather than a new line being created.

STEPS:
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Upload a GenericStatusUpdate that contains a Qualifier of BM with a Reference Number and referencing an existing Shipment that already has a Shipment Qualifier of "BM"
2. After XML processes, query Shipment and observe that existing Qualifier Line is not updated and a new Qualifier Line has been added.
