Last updated on DECEMBER 11, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Human Resources - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Problem Statement:

Absence Detail form (PERWSEAD.fmb) allows users to create an absence record with the date when the employee is not active. Absence record created with invalid date cannot be queried in the PUI (PERWSEAD.fmb), therefore wrong Date cannot be corrected.

Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Create an employee with effective date = 01-JAN-2000. (Employee's original_date_of_hire will be 01-JAN-2000)
  2.  Open the Absence form of the employee.
     (N) People > Enter and Maintain > (B) Others > Absence
        or
     (N) FastPath > Absence
  3. Create an absence record with the following information and save.
Type:  Any type (e.g. Annual Leave)
    Notified Date: 01-JAN-1990
    Actual Start Date: null
    Actual End Date: null
