Symptoms
When attempting to add a Subline to a Service Contract, the following error occurs:
Error
Call to QP engine API "qp_preq_pub.price_request" returned the following Error:
Error: Routine "qp_preq_grp.call_calculation_engine ORA-06502:PL/SQL: NUMERIC OR VALUE ERROR. CHARACTER STRING BUFFER TOO SMALL
Steps
1. Using a Service Contracts responsibility.
2. Open a Service Contract in Entered status, or open an Active status contract for update.
3. Enter an Item on the Subline.
4. Attempt to save the new Subline.
