Transactions: Attempting to End-date a Duplicate Transaction Type Raises Error: Row exists already with the same Name (Doc ID 2071252.1)

Symptoms


Duplicate transaction types exist, and the system raises an error when you attempt to update the records.

User was creating a transaction type; a glitch in the in the system caused the creation of a duplicate transaction type.
The user now wants to remove one of the duplicate records because the duplicate names may cause confusion for users. Attempting to end-date one of the records raises an error:

Error: Row exists already with the same Name


Steps to Reproduce:

Responsibility: Receivables Manager
Navigation: Setup > Transactions > Transaction Types
