OACORE Managed Server Failing In 12.2 With Error 'java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot resize buffer' and 'java.lang.IllegalStateException: Strict Servlet API' Preventing User Login Until Services Are Restarted (Doc ID 2087130.1)

Symptoms

E-Business Suite 12.2 OA Framework, OACORE issues.

 

The EBS OACORE Managed Servers Randomly Fails In 12.2 Preventing User Logins Unless Services Are Restarted.

Using FMW 11.1.1.6, users see the following errors in the oacore_server log:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot resize buffer - 477 bytes have already been written (Servlet 2.3, sec. 5.1)
  at weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletResponseImpl.setBufferSize(ServletResponseImpl.java:357)

java.lang.NullPointerException
  at weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletRequestImpl$SessionHelper._getSessionInternal(ServletRequestImpl.java:2498)

Users may also see the following error in the oacore_server log:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: strict servlet API: cannot call getWriter() after getOutputStream()
and just afterwards
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot resize buffer - 966 bytes have already been written (Servlet 2.3, sec. 5.1)

 

Once the above errors are received, the oacore servers must be restarted in order to restore login functionality.
