GTM Transaction Finder Related Object ID is Searched by GID Rather Than XID (Doc ID 2089181.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Global Trade Management - Version 6.3.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
When searching for an order or shipment by the XID using the GTM Transaction finder field "Related Object ID" (with search criteria "Begins With"), the search does not return any results although the GTM transaction is linked to the order or shipment.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
It is expected to be able to search for a transaction by the XID of an order or shipment using the "Related Object ID" field with the "Begins With" search criteria similar to how the "Transaction ID" is queried by the XID on the same screen.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Go to Trade Compliance Management -> Trade Transaction Management -> Trade Transaction

2. Enter the XID of an order or shipment that is already tied to a transaction in the "Related Object ID" field (Ex: For shipment DOMAIN.SHIP1 enter SHIP1).

3. Ensure the "Begins With" search criteria is selected.

4. Click Search

5. No results are returned from the search although the Related Object ID is tied to a valid transaction.
