Symptoms

Problem Statement:

Hrglobal fails loading pyusbaltypes.ldt with the following error.

Uploading from the data file /XXX/oracle/apps/apps_st/appl/pay/12.0.0/patch/115/import/US/loc_us/pyusbaltypes.ldt
Altering database NLS_LANGUAGE environment to AMERICAN
Dumping from LCT/LDT files (/XXX/oracle/apps/apps_st/appl/pay/12.0.0/patch/115/import/pyseedbal.lct(120.1.12010000.9), /XXX/oracle/apps/apps_st/appl/pay/12.0.0/patch/115/import/US/loc_us/pyusbaltypes.ldt) to staging tables
Dumping LCT file /XXX/oracle/apps/apps_st/appl/pay/12.0.0/patch/115/import/pyseedbal.lct(120.1.12010000.9) into FND_SEED_STAGE_CONFIG
Dumping LDT file /XXX/oracle/apps/apps_st/appl/pay/12.0.0/patch/115/import/US/loc_us/pyusbaltypes.ldt into FND_SEED_STAGE_ENTITY
Dumped the batch (PAY_BALANCE_TYPES ACA Employee Service Hours  US , PAY_BALANCE_TYPES Workers Compensation3 ER  US ) into FND_SEED_STAGE_ENTITY
Uploading from staging tables
  Error loading seed data for PAY_BALANCE_TYPES:  BALANCE_NAME = PR Youth Exempt Wages, BUSINESS_GROUP_NAME = , LEGISLATION_CODE = US,  ORA-20001: HR_FLEX_VALUE_MISSING: N, COLUMN, ATTRIBUTE20, N, PROMPT, Sub Category for Earnings

 

 

Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Create a custom segment in Descriptive Flexfield(DFF) "Add'l Balance Type Information" and check the "Required" box of the segment.
  2.  Run DataInstall/hrglobal.drv.
  3.  Worker job fails loading pyusbaltypes.ldt.
