What is the logic behind the "Need by Date" field in the Item Reservation window?
The definition in the Help of that form : "Need By Date: Date you expect to use the material. This cannot be a past date."
Users confused why scheduling uses the date from the sales order but pick release does not.
Want to understand what date should be used.
For example, for a reservation for a Sales Order pick -- See the date does not match the Schedule ship date or any other date related to the Shipment or Sales Order.
Users a looking at that field and take decisions based on the value they see but there could be a huge mismatch between that date and the required date for shipping.
