PA Period Name Defined Incorrectly

Symptoms
Problem Details: A period name, JUN-20209, was open for date range, 06/01/2020 through 06/30/2020.
The User Closed the PA and GL period in September 2015 leaving the only Open period, JUN-20209.
Half (Base for Total Burden) of the transactions for Burden are trapped in September while the Total Burden half is trapped in period JUN-20209;
Resulting in Not able to Create Accounting for Total Burden. Also, a period name JUN-20209 is wrong even those represents the right date range. Is there a way to correct this name
