Item Transaction Default For Shipping Subinventory Neither Used by Pick Release, Nor Defaulted on the Sales Order Line ?
(Doc ID 2110912.1)
Last updated on DECEMBER 01, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Inventory Management - Version 12.1.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
As an example, you have set the default shipping subinventory as 'FGI' for item 8390 in the Item Transaction Default form
or have defined the Shipping Subinventory default value for the item in the Item Define form (on the Order Management tab).
However, when doing the pick release, the system is not defaulting this subinventory even though stock is available.
It is picking from a different subinventory instead.
Steps
1. Setup the shipping subinventory for the item in the Item Transaction Default form or add a Shipping Subinventory value in the Item Define form.
2. Do the pick release and system is not using this shipping subinventory
When defining the Shipping Subinventory value on the Order Management tab in the Item Define form, the entered value is
not saved as part of the item record. Instead, the form creates a "Shipping" transaction default record as if you had
added it manually in the Transaction Default form. Updating Shipping Subinventory to a different value will update the
existing Shipping transaction default record.
