Shipment Ship Unit Weight/Volume Re-Calculation Issue When Using OMD - Propagate Ship Units (Doc ID 2111571.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.3.6 to 6.4.2 [Release 6.3 to 6.4]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Having custom defined order configuration along with automation agent configured to propagate ship unit changes count, updating the transport handling unit count on the order release ship unit tab causes the Total Weight to be recalculated as well at shipment level, although the Order Configuration is not setup this way.

It is expected to have the action propagate ship unit changes count working as expected and updating the newly transport handling unit count/weight as per the one updated in the order release.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Automation Agent 3-11666316481 which has only one action ORDER RELEASE - MOD - PROPAGATE CHANGES: Ship Unit Quantities
2. Order release planned into shipment 3-11666316481-7 created with Order Configuration LSS (defined same as the customer has it).
3. Change the Transport handling unit count from 40 to 50. That is the only change.
4. The agent starts and we should see the unit weights and unit volumes updated at Shipment level as well as per the ones updated in the order release.
