Part Change Removal Error: "ORA-06502 : PL/SQL : numeric or value error : NULL index table key value in Package AHL_MC_PATH_POSITION_PVT.procedure map_instance_to_pos_id" (Doc ID 2137604.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.2.5 version, Production module:

One of the aircrafts is in for a major check and is in removal phase, users are removing multiple components / sub-assemblies and are getting the below error when they try to remove a sub-assembly:

ORA-06502 : PL/SQL : numeric or value error : NULL index table key value in Package AHL_MC_PATH_POSITION_PVT.procedure map_instance_to_pos_id

STEPS
-----------------------
1) Create an Master Configuration (MC) with configurations and subconfigurations as follows:

Aiframe Unit Configuration (UC)
Engine sub uc 1
Battery sub uc 1
Indicator rate of climb sub uc 1
Engine sub uc 2
Battery sub uc 2
Indicator rate of climb sub uc 2
Engine sub uc 3
Battery sub uc 3
Indicator rate of climb sub uc 3

2) Create a unit with the above configuration and create a visit for it.
3) Create a revision for Engine sub uc 1 without the battery position and migrate it. This results in the Battery becoming unassociated.
4) Create a revision master configuration, removing the engine assy position, assigning the engine sub uc 1 to the new revision and installing it. After migration, the engine 1 indicator rate of climb, it's battery and the entire engine assy will be displayed as  unassociated items.

The new MC should look as below:

Aiframe UC
Engine sub uc 1
Engine sub uc 2
Battery sub uc 2
Indicator rate of climb sub uc 2

5) Remove through part changes, the indicator rate of climb in engine 2
6) Remove engine 2.

Exactly 2 row key errors are displayed on the page.
