Symptoms


ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Security rule regarding company segment value does not work when assign it to specific responsibility

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect the responsibility with security rule assigned do not have privilege to validate or accounting the invoice from other company

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.Define the security rules as follow, on company segment, include only value A and assign to A resp
include only B value and assign to B resp
2.in 11i,the ‘A’ Payable responsibility cannot create or view the ap invoice which segment value is B
3.When creating accounting in A payable,the security rule effects which let user submit Create accounting program to accounting the invoice
4.’Payables Accounting Process‘ will failed with reason: invalid account
5.After create accounting in B Payable responsibility,the A Payable responsibility cannot view accounting
6.But In R12,the security rule only works while entering the Invoice and validation,

After validation, the A payable responsibility still can create and view accounting of Invoice from company B successfully
