Symptoms

Serial control at sales order issue fails during Ship Confirm.

What is working
Verified all serial numbers show in the Shipping Transactions form using Tools > Serial Numbers.
Find all serials exist in the serial temporary table (MTL_SERIAL_NUMBERS_TEMP) with a matching transaction_temp_id.
All of the serial numbers are in numeric format.
Quantity picked correctly.
Reservation exists and quantity reserved for shipment.

ERROR

Warning: Some deliveries selected for Ship Confirm have errors or warnings.

Serial number is not valid.

Warning: Delivery details ######, in this delivery have material status that do not allow ship confirm.
---------------------------
Warning: The Ship Confirm option selected will unassign all the lines from delivery ######.

 


Expected Behavior
Expect shipment to process.

Steps
1. Log into the Order Management Super User responsibility.
2. Navigate to Shipping->Transactions.
3. Query the delivery and ship confirm.
4. Confirm serials are entered via Tools > serial numbers.
5. See the Sales order line status is in 'Picked' status
6. Attempt to ship confirm
7. Receive serial error.

Business Impact
Due to this issue, users cannot ship confirm the delivery successfully. This causes a delay in shipment of finished goods to client sites which affects invoicing and sales reporting.
