Last updated on JULY 25, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Assets - Version 12.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The calculated depreciation amount is different between Depreciation Run Program(FADEPR) and What-If Analysis Program(FAWDPR) when profile option "FA: Use Threshold" is set to Yes or Null.

When profile option "FA: Use Threshold" is set to Yes or Null:
If remaining recoverable cost meets the following conditions, the remaining recoverable cost will be including in the depreciation amount of current period.

  1. less than ten-thousandth(0.0001) of asset cost
  2. less than 10

What-If Analysis Program(FAWDPR) calculates the depreciation amount as per the above rule but Depreciation Run Program(FADEPR) does not advance the remaining recoverable cost.
Why the calculated depreciation amount is different?
