Using Service Contract API for Cascade Attributes, Sales Credit is not Entering in Lines (Doc ID 2185804.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 12, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Service Contracts - Version 12.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.2.4 version, API Generator

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Unable to pass sales credit information to lines from the header, using Service contract API.

Cascade Attributes API is used to cascade attributes like dates and price list from headers to lines and only dates from lines to sublines so this cannot be used for Sales Credits.

When you create a contract header through the front end with sales credit information and then you create the lines, the sales credit info is passed to the lines by default. Expect the same behavior using APIs.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect to be able to pass the sales credit information from header to lines through API.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Following is what is being done (All through API) :
1. Create Contract Header (Through API having the sales credit info as well)
2. Create Contract Line
3. Create Contract Subline
4. Create Contract Billing Schedule.
