AME - Unable to Process Batch Where Journal Name is Longer than 100 chars (Doc ID 2187266.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 14, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

For Journals having name longer than 100 characters, Approvals Management Engine (AME) is not able to process them.

For texts where special chars are included, since they are larger in size than usual chars, then even if the description seems to be shorter, the batch would still fail.

If the journal name is changed  to smaller text everything works without issues.
