Symptoms

On : 12.1 HRMS RUP8 version, Person / Assignment Issues

When attempting to enter and save assignment details, the following error occurs.

First Error Received: FRM-40735: ON-UPDATE trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-01427.
Second Error: APP-PER-52156: You cannot update this assignment with these details. To correct the original problem please query the assignment and reapply your change

 


STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. People -> Enter and Maintain
2. Assignment
3. Enter details and attempt to Save
3. FRM-40735: ON-UPDATE trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-01427.
4. Attempt to Save again: APP-PER-52156: You cannot update this assignment with these details. To correct the original problem please query the assignment and reapply your change
