Unable to Deactivate Asset Numbers. Error: Asset residing in inventory location cannot be deactivated (Doc ID 2208320.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to de-activate asset numbers, the following error occurs:

ERROR:

Asset residing in Inventory location cannot be deactivated.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Responsibility: Enterprise Asset Management
2. Navigation: Assets > Asset Numbers form
3. Query the problematic asset number to be deactivated.
4. Go to Menu > Tools > De-activate Asset Number.
5. Receive the above error.
